Stargazer Publishing Company was founded in 1995 to be the premier publisher of user-friendly editions of difficult-to-use educational materials. The initial titles included The World’s Easiest Guide to Using the APA, now in its third edition, and The World’s Easiest Guide to Using the MLA, used by college students to format research papers. Stargazer is proud that many professors and colleges have adopted its easy-to-use versions.
In 2000, the company moved from Westminster to Corona, California, and expanded its mission from books that educate and empower to those that also enlighten and entertain.
On its current list are titles in the education, business, fiction, and juvenile fiction categories. Coming in 2013 are The Secret of Blackhurst Manor, the second book in the Phantom Hunters mystery series for middle-graders that takes readers on adventures to different cultures; The Secret of Blackhurst Manor Teacher’s Guide; and How to Critique Like a Pro, a guide for fiction and nonfiction writers.
In 2013, Stargazer will also introduce its new line of Stargazer Quick Guides. The first title in this series is Running a Writers’ Critique Group in Your Classroom. Other titles to follow are Maximize Your Competitive Edge: 17 Secrets to Make Your Small Business Look Like a Fortune 500 Company, Maximize Your Visibility: Exhibiting at Book Fairs on a Shoestring Budget, How to Write a Teacher’s Guide for Your Novel, and Starting Your Career in a Tough Economy.
